Terms of Service
Last updated:
These terms are the agreement between you and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“BlacksheepMind,” “we,” “us”), which runs the BlacksheepMind store at blacksheepmind.com. By creating an account or making a purchase, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. Please read them; we have tried to keep them short and plain.
1. Who can use BlacksheepMind
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or buy from us. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may only use the store with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian.
You agree to give us accurate information (such as your name and email address) and to keep it up to date.
2. Your account and its security
You can sign in with an email and password or with a one-time sign-in link sent to your email. You are responsible for keeping your password and your email account secure, and for activity on your account. Tell us right away at [CONTACT EMAIL] if you think someone else has accessed it.
Your account is for you alone. To protect our authors and your account, an account can be signed in on up to 3 devices or browsers at the same time. Signing in on a fourth signs out the oldest session.
3. What you are buying: a license to read in your browser
Our ebooks are read only inside the protected BlacksheepMind reader in your web browser. We never deliver files: there is no PDF, EPUB or other download. This is how the store is designed, not an error.
When you buy an ebook, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to read it in our reader through your own account, for your own non-commercial use. You are buying access, not ownership of a copy, and the license does not let you resell, lend or transfer that access.
We aim to keep your purchased books available to you for as long as we operate the store. If we ever have to stop offering a book or close the store, we will give you reasonable notice by email where we can.
4. Things you must not do
You must not share your account or sign-in links, or sell, rent or otherwise give anyone else access to content you bought.
You must not copy, screenshot or photograph pages in bulk, scrape, download, record, reproduce, translate, publish or redistribute our content, or use it to create competing products. This includes using our content to train or feed artificial intelligence or machine learning systems.
You must not try to get around the reader’s protections, access content you have not paid for, use bots or automated tools against the site, interfere with its security or operation, or use the store for anything unlawful or fraudulent.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account and remove access to your purchases without a refund, and we may take further action where the law allows.
5. Prices, currency, taxes and payment
Our prices are set in US dollars. To make shopping easier, we may show prices converted into your local currency. The final amount and currency of your charge are shown at checkout before you confirm your payment. Your bank or card issuer may add its own foreign exchange or cross-border fees, which we do not control.
Depending on where you live and on applicable law, prices may include or exclude taxes such as VAT, GST or sales tax. The total shown when you confirm payment is the amount you will be charged.
Payments are processed by Stripe, which supports cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link. We do not see or store your full card number. Your purchase is only complete, and access is only granted, once Stripe confirms the payment.
We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for. If we make an obvious pricing mistake, we may cancel the affected order and refund you in full.
6. Refunds
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy at /refund-policy, which forms part of these terms. It includes a 30-day money-back guarantee on ebooks, subject to the conditions it sets out.
7. 1-on-1 coaching
We may offer paid 1-on-1 coaching. The coaching page describes what each package includes, such as the number and length of sessions. Sessions take place online by video call.
Scheduling: after you pay, we will contact you using the email address (and, if you gave one, the phone number) on your order to agree on session times. Please reply promptly and turn up on time. If you need to move a session, let us know as early as you can.
Monthly cap: we only accept a limited number of coaching bookings each calendar month (counted in US Eastern Time) so every client gets proper attention. If the last place is taken just before your payment arrives, your booking cannot go ahead: we will tell you by email and refund your payment in full. New places open at the start of each month.
Coaching is for personal development and education. It is not therapy, counseling, medical, legal or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a qualified professional. You are responsible for the decisions you make. Refunds for coaching are covered in our Refund Policy.
8. BlacksheepMind Partners
Our affiliate program, BlacksheepMind Partners (partners.blacksheepmind.com), has its own terms, which you accept when you join and which apply alongside these terms.
In short: partners earn a cash commission on eligible sales they refer. Each commission is held for 14 days before it can be approved, and approved earnings are paid out manually by PayPal or bank transfer when you request a payout. If a referred order is later refunded or charged back, we may reverse the related commission. Partners must promote BlacksheepMind honestly and follow all applicable advertising and disclosure rules.
9. Our content is not professional advice
Our ebooks and coaching are about mindset and personal growth. They share ideas, experiences and opinions for educational purposes only. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and we do not promise any particular result. If you are struggling with your mental health, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.
10. Intellectual property and reviews
All content on BlacksheepMind (including text, images, design and software) belongs to us or to our authors and licensors, and is protected by copyright and other laws. Apart from the license in section 3, these terms do not give you any rights in it.
If you post a review or other content on the store, you confirm it is your own honest opinion and that it is lawful. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce and use it (including your first name or display name) on our store and in our marketing. We may edit it for length or remove it at our discretion.
11. Suspension, termination and deleting your account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, for example through account sharing, fraud, or a payment dispute while we look into it. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
You can stop using BlacksheepMind at any time, and you can delete your account in Account › Settings. Deleting your account ends your access to everything you bought, permanently. How we handle your data when you delete your account is explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Availability and changes to the store
We work hard to keep BlacksheepMind running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may need to pause it for maintenance, and we may change, add or remove features over time.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, BlacksheepMind is provided “as is” and “as available,” and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or opportunity, arising from your use of the store, our content or our coaching.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to BlacksheepMind is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects the rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION], and the courts of [GOVERNING LAW JURISDICTION] have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live.
If something goes wrong, please contact us first at [CONTACT EMAIL]. Most problems can be solved quickly and informally.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows the current version. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you by email or on the site before it takes effect. If you keep using BlacksheepMind after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply to you.
